Here is the cover of the next Barons album, which should be available on vinyl from Dim Records and CD from MotherBox Records by the end of the year. I still have to make some adjustments, but I'm glad to be finished. I've been working on this for far too long, but I like how it turned out. The image is completely out of my head, which is different from the photo-inspired oil paintings I've been doing lately.
The Barons will be playing at Mojo 13 on Friday, September 12, if you care to stop by and see us rock the house. We'll go on around 10, so you'll want to show up early enough to get a nice spot up front. I just got back some Barons stickers too, which I'll be handing out at the show. Be the first on your block to proudly display your very own Barons sticker! Yee ha!

funny artwork chris! i love the piggy. which one's you?
Hey Unca,
Actually, I'm not in it. The album was recorded with the old singer, Dusty (at the head of the table), and Kurt, my bass-playing buddy (at the top left), doing all the vocals. On this record I'm still just the resident artist. My vocals will hopefully start appearing on the next record, which we'll start recording around the end of the year if all goes well. Thanks for asking! (I'm glad you like the pig. At first I had him opened up a little with some nice hunks of meat missing from his midriff, but then I was told it looked too gruesome. So I settled on this happy, healthy little pig enjoying his apple and some good company.) By the way, I love Wayne Billy, especially your wicked guitar, bass and George C. Scott's disturbing cries.
well, i look forward to hearing the one with your vocals on it! i love the videos you've posted of you guys playing.
glad you liked the wayne billy cd!
